Students will explore the question of what defines music the acoustic building blocks of sound by

- playing inside the piano
- creative game playing and experimentation
- improvisation
basic rhythmic patterns through
- using simple mnemonics to articulate rhythms
- basic conducting patterns
- rhythm games and
- improvisation.

When students discover concepts through exploration and play, as opposed to listening to lectures and following texts, they learn on a deeper level.
