Piano Instructor

With a diverse background in music education and performance, I bring both technical expertise and a passion for inspiring students. I have taught private piano lessons to beginner and intermediate students ages 6 to 15, tailoring instruction to meet each student’s skills and goals. While many of my students studied casually, I have successfully prepared others for the Certificate of Merit (CM) examinations. My teaching incorporates the Faber Piano Adventures series as a supplement rather than a rigid framework, and I am quick to adapt to new curricula and teaching methodologies.

Beyond piano, I have led chamber ensembles and sectionals, developing students’ collaborative and performance skills. My educational experience extends outside of music as well—I have tutored AP-level chemistry, math through Algebra II, and English, bringing a well-rounded, patient, and adaptable teaching style to my lessons.

My formal training includes ABRSM Grade 8 in piano performance and music theory, alongside extensive bass clarinet performance. As one of three non-majors in the UCLA Wind Ensemble, I performed throughout my undergraduate years in various chamber groups and pit orchestras, and I completed a minor in Music Industry. Today, I continue to engage with music as an artist, composing, writing, and self-producing original work.
