Imari Mubarak, also known as Cheflee, is an Audio/Visual artist based in Oakland, California. He graduated from San Francisco State University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. Cheflee has exhibited various works in galleries throughout the U.S. His current works combine the aesthetics of contemporary sound design with the organic textures found in nature. Cheflee improvises with materials and guides them into unique forms, using his design knowledge to create curvilinear, fluid expressions that flow sinuously. He aims to continue developing and refining these abstract expressions, in hopes of working with stage/scenic designers and other creatives to make custom installations accessible to wide audiences.
